There has to be a good story behind this improvement.

Yes, the story is the trash smelled really bad, but when I would put the lid on, you couldn’t put more trash in because there wasn’t enough room for the lid to tip inwards, and then Jane would start stacking things on top of the lid and that was about the time I had had enough, so I put this giant metal handle on the lid so now all you have to do is pick it up and smash it back down again. It is very convenient.
